Get ready to witness the exhilarating world of aquatics as India’s highly anticipated sporting event, the 76th Senior National Aquatic Championship, is set to commence in Hyderabad. This championship serves as a platform for the nation’s top swimmers, divers, and water polo players to showcase their talent, compete for glory, and push the boundaries of their aquatic abilities. In this blog post, we will dive into the action and provide you with a comprehensive preview of what to expect from this prestigious event.

The 76th Senior National Aquatic Championship is scheduled to take place in the vibrant city of Hyderabad. This year’s national swimming championship is even more significant because World Aquatics has officially authorized the sport as a qualifying event for the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The competition will provide an opportunity for Indian swimmers to display their abilities and compete for a spot in the next Asian Games 2023, which will be held later this year in Hangzhou, China.

Sajan Prakash, India’s swimming national record holder, became the first Indian swimmer to qualify straight for the Tokyo Olympics. Srihari Nataraj swam in the men’s 100m and 200m backstroke events, while Prakash competed in the men’s 100m butterfly. Maana Patel joined them, securing a ticket in the women’s 100m backstroke through the Universality quota, giving it a record-breaking representation of three Indian swimmers at the Tokyo 2023 Olympics—the largest number of Indian swimmers at any game.

Individual swimming qualifying for the Paris 2024 Olympics began in March and will end on June 23, 2024. This gives Indian swimmers plenty of opportunity to strive for qualification requirements and build a name for themselves on the world scene.

The 76th Senior National Aquatic Championship is set to be a celebration of India’s aquatic competitors’ talent, devotion, and indomitable spirit. This event promises to be a visual feast for sports fans, from the adrenaline-pumping pool races to the spectacular dives and furious water polo bouts. Don’t miss the opportunity to see the magic unfold as swimmers, divers, and water polo players compete for glory, shatter records, and carve their names in Indian aquatic sports history. Prepare to dive into the action and take part in this exciting aquatic adventure!
