From August 17 to 24, the ISSF World Championships 2023 will be held in Baku, Azerbaijan. With 1,329 shooters from 101 nations competing, a total of 67 sets of medals will be awarded over the men’s, women’s, and mixed shooting events. The top four finishers in each individual Olympic event will also get quotas for Paris 2024 for their National Olympic Committees (NOCs).
On Thursday, the Indian men’s 10-metre air pistol trio of Shiva Narwal, Sarabjot Singh, and Arjun Singh Cheema won bronze at the International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Championship in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Shiva led India in scoring with 579 points, followed by Sarabjot (578 points) and Arjun Singh (577 points). According to Olympics.com, this resulted in a total of 1,734 points, putting India in third place.
