The 28-year-old made a memorable Ryder Cup debut in Europe’s victory in Rome in September 2023, contributing crucial points to reclaim the trophy from the United States. Following his impressive performance, MacIntyre has enjoyed a standout 2024 season, reaching new career milestones on both sides of the Atlantic.

The Scot secured his first PGA TOUR title at the RBC Canadian Open in June, then followed it up with a third DP World Tour win by claiming his first Rolex Series title at the Genesis Scottish Open on home soil, delivering an emotional victory in front of an ecstatic home crowd.

Currently sitting at a career-high 14th position on the Official World Golf Ranking, MacIntyre will make his second appearance at the Porsche Singapore Classic, having featured in the inaugural edition in 2023. The event marks the start of the DP World Tour’s “Asian Swing” and promises to attract a strong international field.

“I’m really excited to be playing in the Porsche Singapore Classic again this year,” said MacIntyre. “The fans were amazing last time, and Laguna National is a great course to start the season’s Asian Swing.

“Singapore is an incredible city — it’s a world-famous destination with so much to offer. It’s always a fun place to visit, and I’m looking forward to being back.”

“I want to keep improving, keep moving up the world rankings, and compete at the biggest events. The Porsche Singapore Classic is a key stop on the global golf calendar, and I’m excited to get back out there and be part of it again.”

Porsche Singapore Classic executive championship director Patrick Bowers said: “We are proud to welcome Robert MacIntyre back to the Porsche Singapore Classic. Since featuring in the very first edition of the event in 2023, Bob has gone on to achieve remarkable results on the golf course, including clinching his first PGA Tour title and third DP World Tour title last year. The Porsche Singapore Classic has traditionally attracted established stars of the game, as well as rising talents. This year’s event will be no different, and spectators can look forward to an even more incredible display of world-class golf at the beautiful Laguna National Golf Resort Club in March.”

The 2025 edition of the event will mark Porsche’s second year as Title Partner. The luxury sports car brand is continuing to build on its long-standing relationship with the DP World Tour by expanding its global golf presence through a new multi-year partnership.

The DP World Tour first visited Singapore in 1993, with Major Champions Sir Nick Faldo and Ian Woosnam winning the first editions of the Johnnie Walker Classic in 1993 and 1996. Fellow Major Champions Vijay Singh and Adam Scott are also winners on the DP World Tour in Singapore.

The 2006 edition of the Singapore Masters, held at Laguna National, was the scene of the most memorable moment in the country’s golfing history, when home favourite Mardan Mamat lifted the trophy, finishing one stroke ahead of England’s Nick Dougherty.

The Porsche Singapore Classic will take place at Laguna National Golf Resort Club from March 20-23, 2025, with a prize fund of $2,500,000. Event updates can be found on the Porsche Singapore Classic website, as well as its FacebookInstagram and LinkedIn pages.
