Martina Devi Shines at Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships with Silver Medal Win

In a remarkable display of talent and determination, Indian weightlifter Martina Devi has bagged the silver medal in the Women’s Over 81kg Youth category at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships.

The prestigious event showcased exceptional talent from across Asia, making her victory all the more commendable. Her achievement marks a significant milestone in her career and highlights India’s potential in the sport. With this success, Martina paves the way for more glory in the world of weightlifting.

Devi placed second in the youth division of the championships with a total lift of 218kg (95+123).

Lolakhona Abdurashidova of Uzbekistan won bronze with a lift of 193 kg (83 + 110), while Thi Hien Tran of Vietnam won gold with a total lift of 224 kg (100 + 124).
