Proud Moments: India Concludes Campaign with 14 Medals at Sri Lanka Athletics Nationals 2023

With 14 coveted medals,  Indian team completed their quest in the Sri Lanka Athletics National Championships 2023. Out of the total, they have four silver, nine silver, and one bronze medal. The nation is proud of their commitment during the competition.

While they were all motivated to win and gain widespread notoriety, several of them distinguished out with exceptional performances. Amoj Jacob, M Anas, Rajesh Ramesh, and M Ajmal are notable names from the relay squad that ignited resilience in the men’s 4x400m event.

Aside from them, the women’s relay squad excelled in the 4x400m women’s relay event. The team, which included Sonia Baishya, Aishwarya Mishra, Subha V, and Himanshi Malik, finished in 3:30.41.

Another Indian team, Nihal Joel William, Subha Venkatesan, Mijo Chacko Kurian, and Vithya Ramraj, competed in the tournament. The aforementioned names finished second, earning a silver medal and a podium spot. Despite finishing in third place, their dedication was evident as they completed in a time of 3:18.03.

On the last day of the Sri Lanka Athletics National Championships, India finished with six medals. Aside from the Indians and national representatives, a number of athletes from the Maldives performed well at the Sri Lanka Athletics National Championships 2023.
