SHANGHAI (China) – Riffa (BRN) claimed their first World Tour win after defeating Paris (FRA) 20-15 to win the FIBA 3×3 World Tour Shanghai 2024 on September 22.

Emerging from a form slump, Riffa have steadily improved this season and reached new heights with an unbeaten campaign in the ninth World Tour of the season.

Riffa’s firepower was on full display and they used teamwork to perfection during a golden tournament.

After his Maurice Lacroix Buzzer Beater against top seed Ub Huishan NE (SRB) in an epic semi-final, Jonas Foerts was in attack mode early in the final but French superstar Franck Seguela answered from deep.

Both teams were on fire and traded highlights with Thibaut Vervoort stealing the show with a put back dunk. Riffa went on a run at the midway point capped by a Foerts two-pointer as they led 12-7.

Lausanne World Tour winners Paris wouldn’t roll over, but Riffa had the answers with MVP Dennis Donkor making a clutch layup followed by two free throws to effectively ice the game.

In the individual contests, Enis Murati (Vienna) won the Maurice Lacroix Shoot-Out Contest after tallying 16 points, while Piotr ‘Grabo’ Grabowski claimed the Maurice Lacroix Dunk Contest.
