In the final period, Jerelee Ong found the net in the 45th minute, and One Swee Leng rounded off the victory with a goal in the 59th, sealing Singapore’s emphatic 5 – 0 triumph.

The tournament saw Singapore open their campaign with a dominant 7 – 0 win over Southeast Asian rivals the Philippines, followed by a hard fought 2 – 2 draw against Australia in a physical encounter. They closed the group stage with a resounding 12 – 1 victory over the Republic of Korea, finishing second in Group B, level on points and goal difference with Australia but edged out on goals scored. In the semi-finals, Singapore overcame top-ranked Japan 5 – 3 in a dramatic contest, setting the stage for a thrilling final against Thailand.

Mr Ben Ow, President of Singapore Floorball Association said: “This victory is a testament to the hard work, resilience, and passion of our players, coaches, and support staff. To win on home soil, in front of such an incredible crowd, makes this achievement even more meaningful. Securing our place at The World Games and the World Championships is a major milestone, and I have no doubt that this team will continue to make Singapore proud on the international stage. This is just the beginning of an exciting year for Singapore floorball, and we hope this success inspires more young players to take up the sport.”

With their performance at the tournament, Singapore qualifies for The World Games 2025, set to take place from 7 to 17 August in Chengdu, China, and the 2025 Women’s World Floorball Championships, which will be held from 6 to 14 December in Brno and Ostrava, Czech Republic. This triumph kickstarts an ambitious year for the team, as they set their sights on competing on three major international stages; The World Championships, The World Games, and the defence of their SEA Games title in December.
