Sumit Antil’s Gold Medal Triumph: A Remarkable Achievement for India at the World Para Athletics Championships 2023

Sumit Antil, a para-athlete, earned a historic gold medal in the Men’s Javelin throw F64 final event at the 2023 Para Athletics World Championships.

Sumit broke his own World Record in the F64 category with his best throw of 70.83m. In the process, he also cleared India’s quota for the 5th Paris Paralympics.

Sumit Antil set a new record earlier this year in the Tokyo Paralympics. He broke the world record three times in the Men’s Javelin Throw F64 category, giving India its second gold medal of the Games. He is outperformed himself at the Para World Championships.
