TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR DELIGHT YOUNG FOOTBALLERS AT CLINIC AHEAD OF SINGAPORE FESTIVAL OF FOOTBALL DRIVEN BY CDG ZIG

Young footballers from Montfort Secondary School and Montfort Junior School were treated to an exciting afternoon of football practice on Monday (24 July), during a clinic conducted by Tottenham Hotspur Global Football Development coaches and Spurs legend Ledley King.

The clinic was held at Montfort Secondary School ahead of the Singapore Festival of Football Driven by CDG Zig. A total of 35 boys aged from 10 to 15 attended the 90-minute session, where they did dribbling and shooting drills, followed by practice matches.

Former Spurs defender King is here with the club, who will take on 2021 Singapore Premier League champions Lion City Sailors in the Tiger Cup on 26 July. Tottenham Hotspur will also host an Open Training session on 25 July. The Tiger Cup and Spurs’ Open Training session will both take place at the National Stadium at the Singapore Sports Hub. 

The week-long football fiesta will also feature Spurs’ fellow Premier League giants Liverpool FC, who will play two matches at the National Stadium. The Reds will defend their Standard Chartered Singapore Trophy against Leicester City FC on 30 July before facing Bundesliga champions FC Bayern Munich in the Singapore Trophy presented by Audi and Standard Chartered on 2 August. The Reds will also hold an Open Training Session on 29 July. These activities will take place at the National Stadium.

Off the pitch, fans are encouraged to attend the Football Interactive Fanzone, which will be open on match days, Spurs’ and Liverpool FC’s open training days, and 1 Aug prior to the Liverpool FC and FC Bayern Munich game. Fans will get the chance to meet club legends, giving them a once-in-a-lifetime moment with their football heroes. There will be photobooths, giveaways and performances, along with Q&A sessions with club legends. Fans can also meet the team mascots including Tottenham’s Chirpy and Lily, Mighty Red of Liverpool FC and FC Bayern Munich’s Berni.
