World Rugby has published the ranking permutations for this weekend’s match between Italy and Spain.
Permutation highlights:
- Italy cannot improve their rating with victory over Spain due to the 9.37 points difference between the sides before home weighting is factored in.
- The Azzurre cannot fall from eighth place even with a heavy loss as a loss of three rating points would still sit at least 0.44 points above Scotland below.
- A draw will see Spain regain the 12th place they lost after defeat to Japan last weekend, taking them back above South Africa.
- Spain cannot climb any higher than 12th as even a win by more than 15 points would still see them trail Japan by 1.23 points.
