Indian Badminton’s Next Gen Leaders: Ayush Shetty and Unnati Hooda at the Helm for BWF World Junior Championships 2023

Ayush Shetty and Unnati Hooda will lead the Indian challenge, as the Badminton Association of India (BAI) released the sixteen-member Indian team for the next BWF World Junior Championships 2023, which will begin on September 25 in Spokane, USA. The squad was chosen following a rigorous tryouts procedure held in New Delhi from July 26 to 29.

India’s Badminton Association (BAI). Unnati Hooda, the Odisha Open 2022 champion, will head the girls’ singles event with BWF World ranked players Tara Shah (World No 7) and India No 7, Devika Sihag.

Ayush Shetty, the two-time U19 All India Junior Ranking Champion, will lead the boys’ squad after winning the top slot in selection trials. Tushar Suveer and Lokesh Reddy will accompany him.

The boys’ doubles team will be led by India Junior No. 1, Nicholas Nathan Raj-Tushar Suveer, and the girls’ doubles team will be led by Radhika Sharma-Tanvi Sharma and Vennala K-Shriyanshi Valishetty, while the mixed doubles challenge will be led by Samarveer-Radhika Sharma and Sathwik Reddy K-Vaishnavi Khadkekar.
