Para Badminton Glory: Indian Contingent Secures Impressive 18 Medals in Four Nations Tournament”

The Indian para badminton team took home 18 medals, including three gold medals, at the Four Nations England Level 1 Para Badminton International, which will be place in Sheffield, England from August 2-6, 2023.

Three gold medals were won by India at the Four Nations competition, the seventh tournament in the Paris 2024 Paralympic qualification race, by the men’s doubles pair of Pramod Bhagat/Sukant Kadam, the women’s doubles duo of Manasi Joshi/Thulasimathi Murugesan, and Paralympic champion Krishna Nagar.

On Sunday, seven shuttlers competed for crowns in various divisions of the prestigious competition. In the SL3-SL4 division, Pramod Bhagat/Sukant Kadam beat Deep Ranjan/Manoj Sarkar in an all-Indian final.

In the SH6 division, Paralympic champion Krishna Nagar defeated Paralympic bronze winner Krysten Coombs to earn gold. Indian shuttlers have won five silver and ten bronze medals in addition to the three gold medals.

Bronze – Nitesh Kumar (SL3 MS), Sukant Kadam (SL4 MS), Nitesh/Tarun (SL3-SL4 MD), Krishna/Nithya (SH6 XD), Raghupati/Manasi (SL3-SU5 XD), Prem/Emine (WH1-WH2 XD), Manasi,Mandeep (SL3 WS), Manisha Ramdass (SU5 WS), Parul/Shanthiya (SL3-SU5 WD)
